If you have have already signed up by direct debit and have received an email saying your subscription is expiring, you do not need to do anything - your subscription will automatically renew.

Before you start

To set up a recurring Direct Debit instruction, you must:

  • be a named account holder and the sole person required by the bank to authorise to set up from this account
  • provide the sort code and the account number
  • have an email address

If not, you will need to pay by credit or debit card each year.

How it will look on your bank statement

West Northamptonshire Council (WNCGARDWASTE) will appear against the Direct Debit on your bank statement.

What happens next

You will be sent a confirmation email with all subscription and payment information within 3 working days. Your first direct debit will be taken 10 working days after you sign up. Once purchased, bin subscription stickers will be sent out in the post. Please allow time to receive your sticker and do not contact us to request quicker delivery. If you do not receive your sticker before your first collection commences, you can still put out your garden waste for collection as our crews will know that you have already registered. Once you have received your sticker, this must be placed on the back of your garden waste bin. Bins that do not show a valid registration sticker may not be emptied. Renewal payments are taken on or around 15th March each year thereafter; you will be emailed prior to the payment being taken.
